Round Head Flash for Nikon
The Flashpoint X100 TTL R2 is a 100Ws on-camera flash with a round head that produces even, natural lighting. It offers TTL compatibility with Nikon cameras for automatic exposure control. The integrated 2.4G wireless system enables remote operation across multiple groups and channels. A recycle time of 1.7 seconds supports fast-paced shooting.
Magnetic Modifier Mount and Zoom
This model replaces standard rectangular-head speedlights with a round head and a Magnetic Modifier Mount for quick accessory changes. The upgrade is worth it when you need auto zoom that reads the lens focal length, manual zoom from 28 to 105mm, and bounce angles of -7 to 120 degrees vertically and 0 to 330 degrees horizontally. The BP-960 power pack extends shooting sessions.
Event and Portrait Photographers
The flash suits Nikon shooters who need wireless multi-flash flexibility and a broad modifier ecosystem including barn doors, grids, gels and a snoot. High-speed sync up to 1/8000s and flash durations down to 1/20000s serve motion work. Photographers using other camera systems or needing only basic on-camera fill should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
What hot-shoe and external power connections does the X100 TTL R2 use?
The unit mounts on a standard Nikon i-TTL hot-shoe and draws supplementary power from the included BP-960 pack via its dedicated high-voltage port.
How do you pair the flash with the 2.4 GHz wireless system, and what step is often missed?
Set the same channel and group on both the flash and the transmitter, then press the flash's pairing button; forgetting to match the group ID is the common error.
Which magnetic modifiers from the kit wear out fastest and need replacement?
The diffusion dome and colour gels degrade with heat and handling; the honeycomb grid and barn-door flags are more durable.
