Extension head for XPLOR 600Pro and 600SE
The Flashpoint XP600 Pro extension head converts an XPLOR 600Pro or XPLOR 600SE monolight into a boom-friendly remote flash unit. It connects by detaching the glass-shielded flashtube from the monolight body and locking the pronged cable link in place. The original flashtube then inserts into the extension head sockets for remote operation.
Thermal and power behaviour
The extension head draws its 600ws output from the connected monolight, adding no independent power draw or heat source. A built-in LED modeling lamp provides continuous preview light without the thermal load of a traditional halogen lamp. The lightweight head produces no fan noise because it contains no active cooling system.
Bundled features and mount
A Bowens S-type mount accepts popular light modifiers such as softboxes and grids directly on the extension head. An integrated umbrella holder and 180 degree tilt lock with handle are retained for positioning flexibility. The LED modeling lamp matches the convenience of the monolight's own modeling function.

Questions about this item
How do I install the XP600 Pro extension head on my XPLOR monolight?
Unplug the glass-shielded flashtube from the XPLOR body, lock the pronged cable link into place, then insert the original flashtube into the extension head sockets to complete the connection.
What maintenance will the built-in LED modeling lamp require?
The LED modeling lamp is integrated into the extension head and has no user-replaceable parts; if output degrades the entire head would need service.
What is the first limit I will hit when running the 600ws head continuously?
The 180 degree tilt lock may restrict positioning before thermal limits become an issue during sustained full-power use.
