Power and recycle speed
The monolight delivers 300 Ws of flash energy and recycles between .01 and 1.5 seconds, so it keeps pace with rapid sequences without forcing long pauses between frames. Output is adjustable across more than nine stops from 1/256 to full power in 1/3rd or 1/10th increments, giving fine control over exposure. The 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery at 14.4 V supplies enough capacity for extended sessions before a swap is needed. It is not suited for photographers who need substantially higher watt-second output for large-group or high-key work.
Radio system and compatibility
The built-in R2 2.4 GHz receiver communicates with the included Nano trigger up to 328 feet or 100 metres, maintaining a reliable link across a typical studio or location. Auto-sensing slave modes detect Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji, Pentax and Panasonic/Olympus M4/3 systems and switch protocols automatically. High-Speed Sync and Second Curtain Sync are supported for creative shutter control. It is not designed for users who require cross-brand TTL with systems outside that auto-sensing list or who depend on legacy infrared triggering.
Build and workflow integration
A cylindrical, battery-powered body removes the need for mains cables or external packs, freeing placement on stands, booms or handheld brackets. The rear battery port accepts interchangeable 14.4 V packs so a spare can be swapped in seconds. A bi-colour LED modelling light aids composition and focus before the flash fires. It does not serve shooters who need AC-only operation for continuous all-day studio use without battery management.

Questions about this item
Will the XPLOR 300 Pro R2 trigger my older Flashpoint R2 lights without buying extra receivers?
Yes, the built-in 2.4GHz R2 radio works with the full Flashpoint R2 family, so existing R2 units will fire from this monolight or the included Nano trigger.
How can I verify the recycle time is hitting the rated speed after I set it up?
Fire a sequence at full 300ws output; the ready indicator should reset in roughly .01 to 1.5 seconds between pops, matching the spec.
Does the kit include the 14.4V 2600mAh battery and charger, or do I order them separately?
The rear-port 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery is supplied with the monolight; a charger is also included in the box.
