Purpose-Built Outdoor Monolight

The Flashpoint XPLOR 600 HSS is a battery-powered studio flash strobe designed for location photographers who need mains-free operation. It delivers 600Ws output with nine power steps from 1/1 to 1/256 and a 5600K colour temperature. The integrated 11.1V 8700mAh lithium battery provides up to 450 full-power flashes per charge.

Upgrade From Tethered Strobes

This unit replaces AC-dependent monolights when shooting outdoors or in venues without reliable power. The jump is worth it when you need High-Speed Sync and 2.4GHz R2 radio triggering across Canon or Nikon systems without separate receivers. Optional 1200Ws extension heads add boom-mounted versatility while keeping the same Bowens S mount modifier compatibility.

Suits Location Pros; Not Studio-Only Users

Photographers who work on location, at events or in large spaces without mains access gain wireless freedom and consistent output. Studio-based shooters who always have wall power and do not need battery redundancy or remote radio groups will find the extra cost and charging workflow unnecessary for their fixed environment.
