Nikon iTTL on-camera flash
The Flashpoint Zoom II AA R2 TTL Speedlight is an on-camera flash built for Nikon iTTL systems. It delivers full R2 remote iTTL and manual power control with Exposure Compensation, High Speed Sync and an automatically zooming flash head. Four transmit groups and five receive options let you coordinate multiple units. The design updates the original 2015 Zoom TTL model with expanded wireless functionality.
AA alkaline power and recycle speed
Four standard 1.5V AA alkaline cells power the unit, removing the need for proprietary packs or charging stations. A fresh set yields up to 330 full-power flashes. Recycle time ranges from 0.1 to 2.6 seconds, keeping pace with fast sequences. The 2.4 GHz radio link provides reliable triggering without line-of-sight constraints during events or location work.
Check camera compatibility and sync needs
Verify that your Nikon body supports iTTL and the R2 wireless protocol before ordering. Confirm the maximum flash sync speed your camera allows to match the 1/8000 s High Speed Sync capability. Ensure you have a supply of AA alkaline or compatible rechargeable cells for extended shoots. The guide number is rated at 197 ft / 60 m at ISO 100 with the 200 mm zoom setting.
