Round flash head design

The Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X PRO R2 is an on-camera speedlight built for Canon systems. Its circular zoom head produces a natural, even light spread that differs from traditional rectangular flashes. The unit includes a BP-960 lithium power pack for extended shooting sessions. It suits photographers who want softer, more flattering illumination directly from the camera.

Internal 7.2V 2980mAh lithium-ion battery

The speedlight runs on a built-in 7.2V 2980mAh lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 500 full-power shots per charge. This removes the need for disposable cells or bulky external packs during typical use. The dedicated BP-960 port adds rapid recycle and refresh speeds when the accessory pack is connected. Buyers who need more capacity than the internal cell provides should consider the optional power pack.

Built-in SU-1 fill flash and glass face

A clip-in SU-1 fill flash faces the subject to add the softest detail without extra gear. The glass face on the round head prevents overheating during extended bursts, maintaining consistent output. The unit mounts on Canon hot shoes and uses TTL metering for automatic exposure. Photographers requiring wireless radio control or high-speed sync beyond the built-in features will need separate triggers.

Questions about this item

What does 500 full-power shots mean for a day of shooting?

The internal 7.2V 2980mAh lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 500 full-power flashes, so a typical event or portrait session can run on a single charge without swapping cells.

How does the BP-960 Power Pack port affect recycle speed?

The dedicated BP-960 lithium power pack port feeds extra current to the flash, giving faster recycle and refresh times than the internal battery alone.

Will the round zoom head fit my existing Bowens-mount modifiers?

The round head uses a proprietary magnetic rim; Bowens-mount softboxes or beauty dishes require the optional adapter ring sold separately.
