Questions about this item
How do I install the 4.5 mm x 3.0 mm tip and the included convert cable, and what step do people get wrong?
Plug the 4.5 mm x 3.0 mm tip into the laptop first, then attach the convert cable if the port needs 7.4 mm x 5.0 mm. The common mistake is forcing the convert cable onto the tip before inserting it, which can bend the pins.
What maintenance or replacement will this charger need later?
The detachable power cord and the convert cable are the parts most likely to wear. Inspect the cord insulation and the tip for looseness every few months; replace either piece if the connector feels wobbly or the cable sheath cracks.
What limit appears first under sustained use?
The 65 W output ceiling is reached before the 100~240 V input range becomes an issue. Continuous loads above 65 W will cause the adapter to shut down or throttle, so keep total draw at or below 65 W.
