65 W AC adapter for Lenovo Yoga and IdeaPad

This 65 W charger supplies power to compatible Lenovo Yoga and IdeaPad laptops through a 4.0 mm by 1.7 mm round tip. It replaces part numbers ADLX65CDGU2A, 5A10K78742 and 01FR137. Buyers needing a different tip size or higher wattage should look elsewhere.

Steady output during extended use

The adapter delivers its rated 65 W continuously while the laptop charges and runs demanding tasks. It maintains stable voltage without dropping to a lower burst rating. Users with systems that draw more than 65 W will need a higher-capacity unit.

4.0 mm × 1.7 mm tip compatibility

The connector dimensions are the single specification that decides fit. Only laptops accepting this exact tip size will work with the adapter. Verify the port measurements before purchase to avoid an incompatible connection.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 65W adapter produce when charging all day?

The adapter delivers 65W continuously and meets standard efficiency levels for its class, so it stays warm but within normal operating temperatures during extended use.

What must the laptop already have for this 4.0mm 1.7mm tip to fit?

The laptop needs a DC-in jack that accepts a 4.0mm outer diameter and 1.7mm inner diameter round connector with centre-positive polarity.

Will this charger work with an older Yoga or IdeaPad that shipped with the ADLX65CDGU2A or 5A10K78742 part number?

Yes, it is listed as compatible with those part numbers, so it will power the same models that originally used them.
