Quiet Contour Foam Ear Plugs 10 Pair

Flents Quiet Contour foam ear plugs come in a 10 pair pack with a green finish and carry a Noise Reduction Rating of 33 decibels. The disposable foam plugs are latex free and made in the USA for sleep, travel, work, concerts, shooting, studying and general noise protection.

Upgrade from lower rated or reusable plugs

If you currently use ear plugs with a lower NRR or reusable models that require cleaning the jump to a 33 dB disposable foam plug is worth it when you need the highest rated attenuation for occasional loud environments. They are not for users who need a washable long term solution or who prefer a corded design for quick removal.

Limits of foam attenuation and fit

The NRR of 33 dB is measured under controlled conditions and real world reduction depends on a proper deep insertion with clean hands. The safety warning notes that in noise dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C weighted environmental level should be used and improper fit will reduce effectiveness.

Questions about this item

How do I roll and insert the thin foam cylinder so it expands inside my ear canal?

With clean hands, slowly roll the plug into a crease-free cylinder, pull the outer ear up and back, insert the compressed plug, then hold it with fingertips until it expands to block noise.

What noise level detail applies when low-frequency sound dominates the environment?

For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used, as noted in the enclosed safety warning.

When should I replace the disposable foam plugs from the 10-pair pack?

Replace each pair when the foam no longer springs back to shape, shows dirt or damage, or after a single use in very dirty or sweaty conditions.
