Extra-large carpet protection

The Floortex 1115030023E chair mat covers a 60 by 118 inch rectangle of carpeted floor. It is built for offices or home workspaces where a rolling chair moves across a wide area. The clear polycarbonate surface lets the carpet show through while shielding fibres from caster wear. Buyers who need a smaller mat or a lipped edge for hard floors cannot use this model.

Polycarbonate limits on carpet

The mat is 0.09 inch thick and designed only for carpeted surfaces with a gripper backing that bites into pile. It will not stay in place on hard flooring and is not rated for heavy equipment loads beyond normal chair traffic. A plus or minus five percent size tolerance means the actual dimensions can vary slightly from the stated 60 by 118 inches. The material contains no phthalates, tin, lead or cadmium and meets Greenguard certification.

Rigid flatness and daily use

Made from the same polycarbonate used in aircraft windscreens, the sheet arrives flat and stays flat without a conditioning period. It resists cracking, curling, cupping, discolouration and odour under normal use. The straight edge and gripper back keep the mat anchored while allowing smooth chair glide that reduces leg fatigue. The surface is one hundred percent recyclable and compatible with underfloor heating systems.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 60 x 118" size or a smaller mat for my desk area?

The 60 x 118" rectangular mat provides extended coverage behind a computer desk or in high-traffic zones. A +/- 5% manufacturing tolerance applies, so actual dimensions may vary slightly from the listed 60 x 118 inches.

How does the 0.09" thickness affect chair rolling on carpet?

At 0.09 inches thick, the polycarbonate mat stays rigid so casters glide without sinking into the carpet pile. The gripper backing grips low, medium or high pile carpet to keep the mat from shifting during use.

Is the Gripper backing compatible with heated floors?

Yes, the mat is compatible with underfloor heating systems. The polycarbonate material lies flat immediately and will not curl, crack or discolour under normal use with heating.
