Clear polycarbonate chair mat for carpeted offices

The Floortex 118927ER is a clear rectangular chair mat sized 35 by 47 inches and designed for carpets over half an inch thick. It suits home or commercial offices where rolling chairs need a hard, flat surface that protects the pile and reduces leg fatigue. The polycarbonate construction gives twice the impact strength of vinyl and will not crack, curl, discolor or smell under normal use. It is free from phthalates, lead, cadmium and tin, making it safe for children and pets.

Unroll and place with gripper side down

The mat lies instantly flat from delivery so it can be used immediately without waiting for it to settle. A gripper back anchors it securely on medium and high pile carpets, preventing shifting during daily use. Installation simply requires positioning the mat on the carpet with the textured side facing down. The product is not suitable for hard floors, so buyers with wood, tile or laminate surfaces need a different solution. A manufacturing tolerance of plus or minus five percent means the actual dimensions may vary slightly from the stated size.

Rectangular 35 by 47 inch footprint for carpet

The key specification is the rectangular dimensions of 35 inches by 47 inches combined with the gripper backing rated for carpets thicker than half an inch. This footprint determines whether the mat covers the desired workspace area and stays in place on the specific carpet pile. The 0.11 inch thickness provides a rigid glide surface while remaining compatible with underfloor heating. Buyers needing a smaller or larger coverage area, or a mat for hard floors, should look elsewhere.
