Clear Polycarbonate Chairmat 48 x 60

This clear polycarbonate chairmat protects hard floors from caster wear in home and office settings. The rectangular sheet measures 48.00 inches by 60.00 inches and is manufactured from 100 percent recyclable Original Floortex Polycarbonate. Its smooth backing grips hard surfaces without adhesives. The material resists curling, cracking, discolouration and odour when used as intended.

Upgrade from vinyl or PVC mats

Vinyl and PVC alternatives often curl at the edges, crack under load or yellow over time. This polycarbonate construction eliminates those failure modes while maintaining high clarity. The jump is worth it when a mat must survive daily rolling traffic without degrading or creating trip hazards.

Fits hard-floor workstations

The smooth backing is designed for wood, tile, laminate and similar hard floors; it is not suited for carpeted surfaces. Because the material stays flat, it frees up castor movement and reduces the effort needed to reposition a chair. No adhesives or fasteners are required for installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 48.00" x 60.00" polycarbonate mat fit under my desk and allow full chair movement?

Measure the clear floor area beneath your desk; the mat covers 48.00 inches by 60.00 inches, so you need at least that much unobstructed space for the rectangular shape to lie flat.

How do I install the Floortex 1215219ER on a hard floor, and what step is often missed?

Unroll the mat on a clean, dry hard floor with the smooth backing down; the step many skip is letting the polycarbonate relax at room temperature for several hours so it lies perfectly flat without curled edges.

What maintenance or replacement will the clear polycarbonate chairmat need over time?

Sweep or vacuum debris regularly and damp-mop with mild detergent; the 100% recyclable polycarbonate resists curling, cracking and discolouration, so replacement is only required if the mat suffers physical damage.
