Rectangular Chair Mat for Carpets

The Floortex NCMFLLGC0002 is a translucent polypropylene mat sized 35 inches by 46 inches. It protects low-pile carpets up to 1/4 inch thick from caster wear, scuffs and spills. Supa-Gripper spikes anchor the mat securely without damaging the floor covering. The straight-edged design with rounded corners fits neatly under standard desks.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The 0.095 inch thick polypropylene resists cracking, chipping and shattering under daily rolling loads. Its embossed surface texture limits visible caster tracking over time while remaining stain resistant. The material is formulated to withstand normal office traffic without degrading or curling at the edges. Odourless and toxin-free construction maintains indoor air quality during continuous use.

Upgrade Context

This mat replaces worn vinyl or polycarbonate sheets that have curled, cracked or lost grip on carpet. The jump is worth it when an existing cover shows permanent indentations or slips during chair movement. Buyers needing protection for hard floors or carpets thicker than 1/4 inch should choose a different product type. The folded delivery format suits users with limited storage space before installation.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.095 inch thick polypropylene mat trap heat or emit odours when an office chair rolls on it all day?

The mat is odourless, toxin free and contains no BPA, PVC, tin, lead or cadmium, so it does not release smells or heat during continuous use.

What carpet pile height must I already have for the Supa-Gripper spikes to hold the 35 by 46 inch mat securely?

The spikes are designed for low pile carpets up to 1/4 inch thick; deeper pile will not provide reliable grip.

Will the straight edge with rounded corners sit flat beside my existing desk legs without curling?

Supplied folded in half, the mat quickly unfolds and lies flat; the rounded corners prevent snagging on desk bases or older furniture edges.
