Rectangular Bio-Based Polycarbonate Chair Mat

The Floortex NRCMFLBS0004 is a rectangular chair mat designed for hard-floor surfaces in indoor offices. Its smooth bio-based polycarbonate top and backing protect flooring from caster wear while allowing easy chair movement. The mat suits home or commercial workstations that need a clear, durable floor protector.

Indoor Thermal Stability and Silent Operation

The polycarbonate construction remains dimensionally stable at normal room temperatures and does not curl at the edges. With no moving parts or powered components, the mat adds zero noise and draws no power during daily use. The smooth backing grips hard floors without adhesives, keeping the mat flat under rolling loads.

46 by 60 Inch Clear Coverage for Hard Floors

This model covers a 46-inch by 60-inch rectangle, providing a broad protected zone for desk and chair footprints. The transparent finish preserves the appearance of wood, tile, laminate or vinyl flooring beneath. Buyers needing a smaller mat, a studded backing for carpet, or a coloured surface should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 46x60 chair mat on a hard floor, and what step do people skip?

Unroll the BioPlus mat on a clean, dry hard floor and let it lie flat for several hours so the smooth backing grips evenly; skipping the settling time leaves edges that curl and trip casters.

What maintenance or replacement will the BioPlus chair mat need over time?

Wipe the smooth polycarbonate surface with mild detergent and water; replace the mat if deep gouges or cracks appear that catch chair wheels or create uneven rolling.

What limit appears first when the 46x60 mat is used continuously under a rolling office chair?

The smooth backing can develop permanent indentations where casters pause repeatedly, causing the mat to lose flat contact with the hard floor.
