  • 8 inch dead band and 3 inch beam suit compact tank openings

Ultrasonic Level Transmitter 26.2 Ft Range

The Flowline LU28-01 is a noncontact ultrasonic level sensor designed for measuring liquid levels in industrial tanks. It suits process engineers and plant technicians who need reliable monitoring of corrosive or sticky waste liquids without direct media contact.

Two-Inch NPT Mounting and 2-Wire Output

The transmitter installs via a 2 in NPT connection, allowing direct integration into standard tank fittings. A 2-wire 24V DC output configuration simplifies wiring runs and reduces installation cost for new or retrofit level measurement points.

50 kHz Operation With 8 In Dead Band

Operating at 50 kHz, the unit delivers a 3 in beam width and 0.079 in spatial resolution across a 314.4 in range. Accuracy holds at ±0.2 % of range while the 8 in dead band defines the minimum measurable distance from the sensor face.

Questions about this item

What does the 50 kHz operating frequency mean for the maximum 26.2 ft measurement range?

The 50 kHz frequency supports the full 26.2 ft range with a 3 in beam width and 0.079 in spatial resolution, while the 8 in dead band prevents readings closer than that.

What size opening and thread type are required to mount the 2 3/8 in antenna?

A 2 in NPT threaded fitting is needed to accommodate the 2 3/8 in antenna diameter and 30 psi maximum operating pressure.

How is the 2-wire 24V DC loop powered, and what wiring mistake causes no signal?

Connect the two wires in series with a 24V DC supply and the PLC input; reversing the polarity on the loop will result in no output signal.
