Non-contact ultrasonic sensor measures corrosive or ultrapure liquids up to 26.2 ft with ±0.2 % accuracy and 2-wire 28 V DC output
The Flowline LU83-5101 is a non-contact ultrasonic level sensor built for continuous measurement in tanks and vessels. Its PVDF transducer resists corrosive, sticky, waste and ultrapure liquids across a 26.2 ft range with a 3 in beam width.
This unit fits applications that need a 2 in NPT mount, 30 psi pressure rating and media temperatures from -7 to 140 °F. It is not for installations requiring a smaller dead band than 8 in, a different connection size or an operating frequency other than 50 kHz.
The sensor delivers a 314.4 in measurement span with ±0.2 percent of range accuracy and 0.039 in spatial resolution. Buyers whose process demands a longer span, tighter accuracy or a higher voltage limit than 28V DC should evaluate other models.

Thread the 2 in NPT fitting into a tank opening; the step often missed is keeping the sensor face at least 8 in above the highest liquid level to avoid the dead band.
The PVDF antenna resists corrosive, sticky and ultrapure liquids, so only periodic visual checks for build-up on the 2 3/8 in face are required.
The 30 psi maximum operating pressure or the 140 °F media temperature ceiling will be reached before the 28 V DC supply limit under sustained use.
