Replacement UV Bulbs for Indoor Zappers

The Flowtron FLWRBINZ20 pack supplies two 15-watt ultraviolet lamps built for Flowtron indoor bug zappers. They draw flying insects such as mosquitoes and flies toward a 3000-volt non-clogging shock grid that eliminates them instantly. The bulbs are rated for areas up to 1000 sq. ft., making them suitable for kitchens, bedrooms, basements and RVs. Installation follows the included instructions and takes only minutes.

When to Replace the Original Lamps

UV output drops over time, so the trap catches fewer pests even though the grid still works. Swapping in fresh 15W bulbs restores the attraction range without changing the zapper itself. The upgrade is worth it when you notice a decline in caught insects or when the existing lamps reach the end of their rated life. The two-pack lets you replace both sockets at once or keep a spare on hand.

Limits of the 15W UV Interface

The bulbs only function inside a compatible Flowtron zapper that provides the correct socket and 3000V grid. They cannot operate as standalone lights or in devices with different wattage or voltage requirements. Coverage is stated for indoor spaces up to 1000 sq. ft.; outdoor use or larger areas are not supported. The lamps also require the zapper’s housing to protect the grid and contain debris.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of each 15W UV bulb so I can confirm it fits my Flowtron zapper?

Each bulb measures 10.24 inches in height and 2.79 inches in width, weighing 1.63 ounces for a secure fit in compatible Flowtron indoor models.

How do I install the bulbs correctly, and what common step should I avoid missing?

Switch off and unplug the unit, then insert each bulb firmly until it seats securely in the socket; the step users often miss is verifying the pins are fully engaged before restoring power.

When will these 15W UV bulbs need replacement, and how many come in the pack?

The 2-pack provides two 15-watt UV bulbs; replace them when insect catch rates drop noticeably, typically after one season of continuous use, to maintain the 3000V grid effectiveness over 1000 sq. ft.
