Reference Turntable with Nagaoka MP-110

The Fluance RT85NW is a belt-drive turntable fitted with a Nagaoka MP-110 elliptical diamond cartridge and a high-density acrylic platter. Its isolated motor and speed-control mechanism hold wow and flutter to 0.07%. A high-mass MDF plinth with real walnut finish and adjustable resonance-damping feet complete the package. It weighs 16.76 lbs and is sold new.

Suited for listeners who want a complete analog

This turntable suits vinyl enthusiasts who value a supplied cartridge matched to the tonearm and a heavy platter that dampens vibration. Buyers who need a built-in phono preamp, USB output, Bluetooth connectivity or automatic cueing should look elsewhere, as those features are not included.

Speed stability decided by 0.07% wow and flutter

The isolated motor and speed-control system maintain consistent platter velocity at 0.07% wow and flutter. This single figure determines whether the turntable meets the precision needed for critical listening.

Questions about this item

Does the Fluance RT85NW come with the Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge already mounted or do I need to install it myself?

The turntable ships with the Nagaoka MP-110 elliptical diamond cartridge pre-mounted and aligned, so no separate installation is required.

Why choose the RT85NW over the standard RT85 model?

The RT85NW includes the upgraded Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge instead of the standard Ortofon OM10, giving greater tonal accuracy, resolution and bass extension.

How does the 0.07% wow and flutter figure affect everyday listening?

That specification means speed variation is extremely low, so pitch remains stable and music sounds natural without audible wobble or drift.
