Complete Vinyl System

The Fluance RT85WPA61B bundles a Reference turntable, PA10 phono preamp, and Ai61 powered bookshelf speakers into one package. It ships with an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge already mounted. The system is aimed at listeners who want a ready-to-play analog chain without sourcing separate components.

Sustained Playback Stability

A servo-controlled belt-drive motor keeps speed accurate over long listening sessions. The acrylic platter and high-mass MDF plinth add inertia that resists wow and flutter when sides run back to back. Three-point isolation feet decouple the deck from shelf vibration so low-frequency information stays clean during extended play.

Build and Daily Connections

The natural walnut plinth weighs 44.65 lbs, giving the turntable a planted feel on furniture. Ai61 speakers each house a 6.5-inch woven glass-fiber driver and a silk-dome tweeter driven by a built-in 120W Class D amplifier. Rear-panel inputs include Bluetooth for streaming, plus analog line-level and phono connections for the included preamp.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 120 W Class D amplifier in the Ai61 speakers produce during all-day listening?

The 120 W Class D amplifier runs efficiently, so the Ai61 speakers stay cool and add no audible fan noise even during extended sessions.

Which cables or speaker wire must I already own to connect the turntable, PA10 preamp and Ai61 speakers together?

The turntable ships with its own interconnect cable to the PA10 preamp, and the PA10 includes the cable that links it to the powered Ai61 speakers — no extra wire is required.

Will the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge track properly on the older records I already keep in my collection?

The Ortofon 2M Blue elliptical stylus is designed for high linearity and low distortion, so it tracks older vinyl cleanly while preserving groove detail.
