Insulation tester for hybrid systems
The Fluke 1507 is a digital megohmmeter designed for insulation resistance testing on hybrid and other electrical systems. It provides selectable test voltages of 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 volts. A remote test probe simplifies repetitive or hard-to-reach measurements. Live circuit detection blocks a test if voltage above 30 volts is present.
Capacity and automated calculations
The instrument automatically calculates polarisation index and dielectric absorption ratio, removing the need for manual computation. A large backlit display ensures readings are clear in varied lighting. The Compare function delivers instant pass or fail results for quick decision-making during repetitive test routines.
Build integration and safety
The tester fits into a maintenance kit alongside standard leads and personal protective equipment. Its live-circuit lockout protects the operator and the device when unexpected voltage is present. The remote probe extends reach without extra cabling. It is not suited for applications requiring test voltages beyond 1000 volts or for continuous monitoring tasks.

Questions about this item
Will the Fluke 1507's 1000 V insulation test damage older wiring I still use?
The tester offers selectable voltages of 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 V, so you can choose a lower level that suits ageing insulation. Live-circuit detection also blocks a test if more than 30 V is present on the circuit.
How do I know the Fluke 1507 is measuring correctly once I power it on?
The large backlit display shows the insulation resistance reading, and the Compare (Pass/Fail) function gives an immediate pass-or-fail indication against your preset limit. Automatic Polarization Index and Dielectric Absorption Ratio calculations also appear for quick verification.
Does the Fluke 1507 come with the remote test probe, or must I buy it separately?
The remote test probe is a highlighted feature of the 1507, designed for repetitive or hard-to-reach testing, and is included with the instrument.
