Android thermal attachment
The InfiRay Xinfrared T3 is a compact thermal imager that plugs into an Android phone and uses a 19mm optic to reveal heat patterns in darkness or through light obscurants. It turns the handset into a monocular night-vision camera for inspection, security or outdoor observation. The phone itself is not included and the protective shell is optional.
Upgrade from basic sensors
The 19mm lens provides a narrower field of view and longer detection reach than the wide-angle modules common on entry-level phone attachments. The jump is worthwhile when you need to identify man-sized heat sources at greater distance or resolve finer temperature differences across a scene. Users who only need close-range overviews will not gain from the tighter optic.
Detection range and limits
The 19mm configuration comfortably handles mid-range spotting such as perimeter checks, wildlife observation or electrical panel scans where the target is several metres away. It runs out when the task demands wide-area situational awareness at arm's length or when the phone's USB port cannot supply sufficient power for continuous operation.

Questions about this item
Does the 19mm lens housing require a specific Android USB port orientation to mount?
The optional shell attaches directly to the Android phone's USB-C or Micro-USB port; check your handset port location before ordering.
What is the correct sequence to launch the thermal view after plugging in the T3?
Connect the imager, grant the companion app USB permission, then open the app — skipping the permission step leaves a black screen.
Will the 19mm Germanium lens need periodic recoating or replacement?
The fixed 19mm optic is sealed; clean only with a lens cloth and avoid solvents — no user-serviceable coating or replacement interval exists.
