Antlia L-Shaped Desk for Home Offices

The FM FURNITURE FM6596ELZ is a new contemporary writing desk finished in gray. Its L-shaped layout creates a 75.1 inch total top surface that fits into a corner and spans 55 to 61 inches in width. Two open shelves and a single door cabinet with interior shelves keep work items organised. The unit weighs 78.5 pounds and measures 30.11 inches high by 59.64 inches wide by 45.86 inches deep.

Upgrade from Small Straight Desks

This desk replaces a compact rectangular table when you need distinct zones for a monitor, paperwork and peripherals without adding a second piece of furniture. The jump is worth it if your workflow spreads across multiple screens or reference materials and you have a corner that can accommodate the 59.64 inch footprint. Buyers who only use a single laptop and prefer a minimal footprint will not gain the extra surface area.

Assembly Required with Heavy Panels

Assembly is required and the package arrives in heavy particleboard panels that weigh 78.5 pounds in total. Two people are recommended to align the L-shaped joints and secure the door cabinet hardware without stressing the cam locks. The most common issue is misaligned pre-drilled holes on the shelf supports, so dry-fit every section before tightening the final screws.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 59.64-inch wide L-shaped desk need?

The desk measures 59.64 inches wide by 45.86 inches deep, so allow at least that footprint plus clearance for the door cabinet to open fully.

Which assembly step causes the most trouble?

Aligning the two desk wings at the corner joint before tightening all cam locks prevents a twisted frame that makes the door cabinet hard to level later.

How do I care for the particleboard top and shelves?

Wipe the gray particleboard surfaces with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid standing moisture and harsh cleaners that can swell the core.
