Focal Hadenys open-back headphones

The Focal Hadenys are open-back over-ear headphones designed for home listening with high fidelity. They use 40mm aluminum/magnesium M dome drivers for detailed sound reproduction. A genuine leather headband and breathable fabric with memory foam earpads provide comfort during long sessions. The lightweight magnesium yoke reduces pressure on the head.

Check your source and cable needs

These headphones connect via a detachable 3.5mm audio cable and include a 1/4 inch plug adapter. Ensure your audio source has a compatible headphone output or that you have a suitable adapter. The open-back design allows sound to leak in and out, so verify your listening environment is appropriate. No wireless connection or active noise cancellation is included.

Suited for critical home listening

This model suits listeners who prioritise an open, spacious soundstage and detailed audio at home. The handmade construction and premium materials appeal to enthusiasts seeking comfort and build quality. Buyers needing isolation from external noise or portability for commuting should look elsewhere. Gamers requiring a built-in microphone or wireless freedom will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Does the Hadenys come with a 3.5 mm cable and a 1/4" adapter, or must I buy either separately?

The headphones ship with a detachable 3.5 mm cable and a 1/4" plug adapter included in the box, so no extra purchase is needed for either connection.

What driver size does this model use and how does it affect the sound?

It uses 40 mm aluminum/magnesium M dome drivers that Focal developed for low distortion and precise detail across the frequency range.

How does the open-back design with honeycomb grilles change the listening experience compared with closed models?

The open-back honeycomb grilles let air move freely around the 40 mm drivers, creating a wide, spatial soundstage that feels more natural for critical home listening.
