A four-port USB 2.0 KVM switch lets four computers share four peripherals with one-button or desktop-controller switching and no drivers required
The FOCUSTEC 4-port USB 2.0 KVM switch lets four computers share four USB peripherals with a single button press. It removes the need to swap cables or configure network sharing software for keyboards, mice, printers, scanners and other devices. The unit works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS without installing drivers. It is not suited for users who need to share displays or audio channels alongside USB devices.
The switch operates without external power for standard low-power peripherals such as keyboards, mice and flash drives. An optional 5 V adapter is required only when connecting high-power devices like external hard drives, SSDs or digital video cameras. With no fan or active cooling, the device runs silently and adds negligible heat to a desktop setup. Power consumption stays minimal during typical office use.
LED indicators show the active computer at all times during extended sessions. Switching between the four connected systems remains instant via the front panel button or the included desktop controller. The USB 2.0 interface maintains stable throughput for peripherals during continuous operation. No driver reloads or re-enumeration delays occur when toggling between hosts.

Link each PC to a USB-B port using the supplied cables, plug your four USB 2.0 devices into the front USB-A ports, then connect the desktop controller; the step often missed is adding the external 5 V adapter when any attached device draws high power such as an HDD or SSD.
No routine maintenance is required; if the desktop controller button or LEDs fail after extended use, the controller cable can be replaced, and the 12-month warranty covers defects during that period.
The bus-power limit is reached first; without the external 5 V adapter the switch cannot sustain multiple high-draw peripherals such as hard drives or video cameras simultaneously.
