Shares four USB 3.0 peripherals between two computers with a single button press and included cables
The FOCUSTEC KVM switch lets one set of USB peripherals serve two computers. Four front ports accept keyboards, mice, printers, external drives, game controllers or wireless adapters. Two USB 3.0 host cables connect the PCs, and a single button toggles the active machine. No software installation is required for basic operation.
Four USB 3.0 Type-A ports on the front provide shared access for multiple devices at once. Two USB 3.0 Type-B ports on the rear link to each computer using the supplied cables. An LED indicator shows which host is currently active, and switching completes in one to two seconds. The unit draws power from the host connections so no external adapter is needed.
Users who currently keep separate keyboards, mice and drives for each workstation can consolidate to one set, reducing desk clutter and cable count. The switch is not suited for setups that require simultaneous access from both computers or for sharing video outputs such as HDMI or DisplayPort. Buyers needing more than four shared devices or more than two host computers will need a larger switch.

It uses USB 3.0, so connected peripherals operate at up to 5 Gbps shared across the four ports.
Each computer needs one free USB 3.0 Type-A port for the supplied cable that links to the rear of the switch.
Plug peripherals into the four front ports, connect the two supplied cables to the rear ports and each computer, then press the button to select the active channel; users often forget to attach both upstream cables before switching.
