4K HDMI Extender over CAT6/7

This FOCUSTEC KVM extender sends 4K video at 30 Hz up to 130 feet and 1080p at 60 Hz up to 230 feet over a single CAT6 or CAT7 cable. The transmitter includes an HDMI loop-out for a local display and the receiver provides a 3.5 mm stereo audio output. USB 2.0 ports at the receiver allow keyboard and mouse control from the remote location. The system supports HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 with PCM, LPCM, DTS HD and DTS audio formats.

Installers needing remote PC control

The USB KVM function suits operators who must manage a computer from a distance while keeping a screen at the source. Audio extraction at the receiver serves setups that need separate speakers or headphones. Users who require 4K at 60 Hz, HDR pass-through, or USB 3.0 peripheral support will not find those features here. Buyers needing runs beyond the stated cable distances should look at alternative transmission technologies.

Maximum 4K transmission distance

The single specification that decides fit is the 130-foot (40-metre) limit for 4K at 30 Hz over CAT6/7. If the installation requires a longer 4K link, this extender will not meet the requirement. For 1080p signals the reach extends to 230 feet, so the same hardware may still work at lower resolutions.
