Control two computers with one keyboard, mouse and dual monitors using HDMI and VGA outputs with extended or duplicate display modes
This FOCUSTEC KVM switch lets you control two computers or laptops from a single keyboard, mouse and dual-monitor setup. It supports extended or duplicated desktop modes, making it suitable for office workers, designers, engineers and IT specialists who need to operate multiple systems simultaneously. Each connected computer must provide both HDMI and VGA outputs and support extended display functionality.
The switch passes one HDMI and one VGA signal per computer, so both ports are required on every source device. Switching between systems is handled by hotkeys, mouse click, front-panel buttons, a wired remote or auto-scan intervals adjustable from 8 to 999 seconds. No drivers are needed and the unit works with Windows 10, 7, 2000, XP and Mac operating systems.
Verify that each computer or laptop has both an HDMI and a VGA output and that the graphics hardware supports extended desktop across two monitors. The integrated USB 2.0 hub adds one extra port for sharing peripherals such as printers, scanners or flash drives, and most wireless keyboard and mouse sets are supported. HDMI-only sources like consoles or DVRs can also be connected but will not use the VGA path.

No, this switch requires two monitors and two computers that each provide both HDMI and VGA outputs to deliver extended or duplicated dual-display operation.
You can spread your desktop across two screens from either connected computer and drag windows freely between them, just as if the monitors were plugged directly into that machine.
Each computer connects via one HDMI and one VGA cable; the switch passes those signals through without converting them, so the maximum resolution is whatever your monitors and graphics cards support over those ports.
