FOCUSTEC L18C4P71 laptop battery 15.36V 51Wh 3325mAh

What this battery replaces

The FOCUSTEC L18C4P71 is a 15.36V 51Wh lithium-ion pack built to replace the original battery in Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 4th and 5th Gen models as well as X1 Carbon 7th and 8th Gen machines. It matches part numbers including 02DL006, SB10K97644, L18L4P71 and L18M4P72 so owners of those ultraportables can restore factory runtime without changing any other component.

Installing in the X1 chassis

Installation requires removing the bottom cover screws, disconnecting the old pack and plugging in the new one using the same connector orientation. The main difficulty is the adhesive strip that secures the battery to the chassis; if it tears, the pack can shift and stress the cable. Taking time to warm the adhesive gently and using a plastic spudger avoids damage to the fragile ribbon cable and the magnesium frame.

Runtime under continuous load

The 51Wh capacity delivers consistent energy delivery during long work sessions such as video calls, code compilation or document editing while unplugged. Because the cells are rated for stable voltage across the discharge curve, the laptop maintains its performance governors without sudden throttling that smaller or aged packs can trigger. Users who regularly drain the battery to low levels will see the same cycle-life behaviour as the original unit.
