A bidirectional USB 3.0 switch shares one peripheral between two computers or two ports on one machine, supports 5 Gbps transfer speeds, and works driver-free on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and Linux
The FOCUSTEC USB 3.0 KVM switch lets two computers share a single USB 3.0 port or lets one computer toggle between two USB 3.0 ports. It supports keyboards, mice, flash drives, printers and scanners when paired with a hub. No driver installation is required on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS or Linux.
The unit draws power from the connected USB ports and has no fan or active cooling. Silent switching is handled by a single button on the device. The anti-backflow circuit prevents voltage from travelling between the two host systems.
USB 3.0 bandwidth of up to 5 Gbps is maintained during extended file copies across large datasets. The solid-state switching logic introduces no measurable latency or throughput drop over long sessions. Not suited for users who need video switching or more than two host connections.

Connect the two included USB 3.0 male cables to each computer, plug your device into the shared port, and press the button to switch — the step often missed is using a powered hub if you connect multiple high-draw peripherals like a printer or scanner.
The switch itself has no moving parts or firmware to update; only the two attached USB 3.0 cables may wear from repeated plugging, so replace them if the connectors become loose or data drops to USB 2.0 speeds.
The 5Gbps USB 3.0 bandwidth ceiling is the first bottleneck — during long bulk transfers the single shared channel saturates, so transfer rates level off at the host controller’s practical throughput rather than any thermal limit.
