What it is and who it is for

The FORIDA 100W USB-C AC adapter is a compact wall charger that delivers up to 100 watts through a single USB-C port. It is aimed at owners of USB-C laptops, tablets and phones who want one power brick for multiple devices. The unit ships with a 6.5 ft USB-C to USB-C cable and an instruction sheet.

How it fits into a build

The charger accepts 100-240 V input at 50-60 Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide without a voltage switch. Its USB-C output negotiates 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, 18 V or 20 V at up to 5 A, automatically matching the connected device. The included 6.5 ft cable lets the power brick stay on a desk or floor while the device remains in use.

Thermals, noise and power draw

A built-in cooling system and an IC protection chip keep the adapter from overheating at full 100 W output. The design runs silently because it has no moving parts. Efficiency reaches 96 percent, meaning little energy is wasted as heat during normal charging sessions.
