FortiWiFi-40F desktop firewall

The FortiWiFi-40F is a compact fanless desktop appliance that combines secure SD-WAN connectivity with integrated wireless for branch offices and mid-sized businesses. Purpose-built security processors accelerate threat inspection so encrypted and clear traffic can be analysed without adding latency. The bundle includes the hardware plus a 36-month 24x7 FortiCare and FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection subscription.

Who this suits

Organisations that need an all-in-one security gateway with wireless access and continuous AI-driven threat intelligence for a small footprint will find the 40F fits the requirement. Buyers who require rack-mountable hardware, modular expansion slots, or higher throughput for large data-centre deployments should look at other form factors.

Build integration

The fanless desktop chassis operates silently on a standard power outlet and requires no special cooling infrastructure, freeing rack space and reducing cabling in a branch cabinet. Integrated wireless eliminates the need for a separate access point, while the included 36-month licence activates full UTP features immediately so the appliance can be managed centrally through the Security Fabric.
