Versatile Toslink Connectivity

The FosPower FOSCBL-2025 optical cable links devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles and computers to AV receivers, sound bars or TVs using standard Toslink ports. Male-to-male connectors provide a direct digital audio path for home-theatre and stereo systems.

Low-Loss Signal and Noise Rejection

A precision fiber core keeps attenuation at or below .2 dB per metre and connection loss at or below .5 dB across the 3 ft length. The construction eliminates RF, EM and ground-loop interference while supporting a 6 MHz transmission bandwidth for uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.

Durable Build with Gold-Plated Tips

Heavy metal connectors with 24 k gold-plated conductors and ferrules resist corrosion and protect the fiber tips from damage. A 6.0 mm nylon-braided jacket shields the core from accidental bends, ensuring a reliable connection over time.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the Toslink plugs without cracking the fiber tip?

Align the squared-off plug with the port, push straight in until it clicks, and never twist the 24 k gold-plated ferrule — twisting is the step that snaps the fiber core.

Will the nylon braided jacket or gold-plated ferrules need replacement over time?

The nylon mesh jacket and 24 k gold-plated ferrules are built for long-term use; no scheduled replacement is required unless the cable is physically damaged.

At what distance does the .2 dB per metre attenuation start to limit 5.1 or 7.1 surround transmission?

Attenuation is .2 dB/m with total connection loss of .5 dB; the 3 ft length stays well within the 6 MHz bandwidth needed for 5.1 and 7.1 digital surround.
