Fotodiox Pro Contax 645 to Fujifilm X Adapter

Contax 645 lens to Fujifilm X mount

The adapter connects Contax 645 medium-format lenses to Fujifilm X-series mirrorless bodies. It is a purely mechanical coupling with no electronic contacts, so autofocus, auto-exposure metering and image stabilisation are not transmitted. Photographers who want to use legacy glass on a modern mirrorless system will find it suitable, while shooters who rely on electronic lens communication will not.

Infinity focus with manual aperture control

The mount surfaces are machined for a smooth, repeatable fit that guarantees infinity focus across the focal range. Because the adapter carries no electronics, exposure must be set manually or through the camera's aperture-priority stop-down mode. Lenses lacking a manual aperture ring will remain stopped down to their smallest f-stop, which can limit creative control in bright conditions.

Two-part construction for X-mount cameras

The package combines a Contax 645-to-Canon EF adapter with a Canon EF-to-Fujifilm X adapter, joining them into a single light-tight tunnel. Alignment marks on both sections help prevent cross-threading during assembly. The only common issue is forgetting to set the lens aperture ring before shooting, which leaves the iris at its minimum opening and produces unexpectedly dark images.
