Terra Cotta Garlic Keeper

This unglazed terra cotta keeper stores garlic bulbs in a cool, dry environment. Its porous walls and vent holes allow air to circulate while the lid blocks light that can trigger sprouting. The 3936 model measures 4.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inches and weighs 9.6 ounces.

Home Cooks Seeking Longer Garlic Life

Suits anyone who buys garlic by the bulb and wants to reduce waste from mould or premature sprouting. The compact footprint fits most pantry shelves. Not for cooks who regularly use oversized elephant garlic bulbs that exceed the keeper's capacity.

Internal Cavity Size Limits Bulb Diameter

The 5.25-inch width and depth set the maximum bulb size this keeper can accommodate. Larger bulbs simply will not fit inside with the lid closed, so buyers should compare their typical garlic size against these dimensions before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the 4.25 by 5.25 inch size hold the garlic bulbs I already keep on my counter?

The keeper fits small and medium bulbs; larger bulbs may not fit inside the 4.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inch terra cotta body.

How can I check the airflow holes are doing their job once the lid is on?

The unglazed porous walls and vent holes keep garlic cool and dry; you will notice bulbs stay firm and sprout-free for weeks.

Does the 9.6 ounce keeper come with anything else or do I need a separate brush?

The box contains the single terra cotta keeper with its light-protecting lid; no brush or extra accessories are included.
