White mid-tower chassis for high-airflow builds

The Fractal Design Epoch XL White is an ATX mid-tower case built from steel with a tempered glass side panel. It ships with three pre-installed Momentum 14 RGB fans at the front and supports ATX, mATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, including reverse-connector layouts. The clean white finish and ARGB lighting suit showcase builds that prioritise airflow and cable management.

Front-panel USB-C runs at 20Gbps and USB-A at 5Gbps

The front I/O provides one USB Type-C port rated at 20Gbps and two USB Type-A ports rated at 5Gbps, plus combined audio and microphone jacks. These speeds are the practical ceiling for the case’s internal headers; actual throughput depends on the motherboard header and cable quality used during assembly.

Tool-free glass panel

The tempered glass side panel removes without tools, and the interior offers 425 mm of graphics-card length with the front fans in place. Cable grommets and straps help route wiring cleanly. The main installation pitfall is the power-supply length limit: 290 mm with one 3.5-inch drive tray fitted, dropping to 175 mm if both trays are used.

Questions about this item

Will a 360 mm radiator fit in the top with the three included 140 mm fans already installed at the front?

Yes, the top supports radiators up to 360 mm and the front fans do not reduce that clearance.

What is the maximum power-supply length when both 3.5-inch drive trays are used?

With two drive trays fitted the PSU can be up to 175 mm long.

Does the front USB-C port deliver 20 Gbps on a motherboard with only a 10 Gbps header?

The port is rated for 20 Gbps; it will operate at the speed of the header you connect it to.
