Chalk White ATX Mid Tower with Oak Front

The Fractal Design North is a steel ATX mid-tower finished in Chalk White with a real oak front panel. It accepts ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and mounts the power supply at the bottom. Two Aspect 140 mm PWM fans are pre-installed at the front.

Builders wanting wood accents and front mesh airflow

The oak front and mesh side panel suit builders who value natural materials and high front intake. The side panel has no window, so tempered-glass showcase builds should look elsewhere. The front I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C, two USB 3.0 ports and dual audio jacks.

Sustained load with front radiator or long GPU

A 360 mm front radiator limits graphics cards to 300 mm, while the front fans allow GPUs up to 355 mm. The top radiator supports 240 mm with a 35 mm RAM height restriction. CPU cooler clearance reaches 170 mm, or 145 mm when the side fan bracket is used.

Questions about this item

What motherboard form factors fit the Fractal Design FD-C-NOR1C-03 North case?

The case supports ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards, so any board matching those standards will install without modification.

Can I keep my existing 3.5" hard drives and 2.5" SSDs when moving into this chassis?

Yes, the case provides three internal 3.5" bays and two dedicated 2.5" mounts plus three additional 2.5" positions on the included drive trays.

How do I verify the two pre-installed Aspect 140 mm PWM fans are running after I build the system?

Connect the fan cables to the motherboard headers, power on, and confirm fan speed readings appear in BIOS or monitoring software while the front RGB strip remains off because the model has no LED lighting.
