Torrent RGB White Mid Tower Case

The Fractal Design Torrent RGB White is a steel ATX mid-tower chassis finished in white with a tempered glass side panel. It supports motherboards from ITX up to E-ATX and SSI-EEB or SSI-CEB server boards. Five PWM fans are pre-installed, including two 180 mm and three 140 mm Prisma ARGB units, delivering high airflow and addressable lighting out of the box.

Build Integration and Clearances

The top-mounted PSU shroud frees internal volume for long graphics cards up to 461 mm, or 423 mm when the front 180 mm fans are fitted. CPU coolers up to 188 mm tall clear the side panel. Seven expansion slots and four 2.5-inch plus two 3.5-inch drive bays provide storage flexibility, while front I/O includes two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port and audio jacks.

Sustained Load Cooling Behaviour

An open front grille feeds the twin 180 mm fans, pushing large air volumes directly across the GPU for consistent thermal performance during extended sessions. The bottom chamber accommodates three 140 mm fans or two 180 mm units, supporting push-pull radiator stacks up to 420 mm at front and bottom. Dust filters on the front and bottom preserve airflow quality over long operating periods.

Questions about this item

How long a GPU fits with the front 180 mm fans installed?

The case accepts graphics cards up to 423 mm long when the front 180 mm fans are mounted, or 461 mm if they are removed.

What temperatures and noise should I expect from the pre-installed 180 mm and 140 mm PWM fans under sustained load?

Five PWM fans (two 180 mm front, three 140 mm bottom) run at low RPM for high airflow; noise stays modest while thermals remain controlled during all-day use.

Which motherboard power and front-panel connectors must my build already provide?

You need a board with a 24-pin ATX header, CPU EPS connector, USB 3.0 header, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C header, and HD-audio header to use all front ports.
