Self-regulating carbon-core cable delivers 36 W at 240 V for indoor or outdoor freeze protection
The Frostguard FG2-6L is a 6 ft electric heating cable rated for 240V AC at 50 Hz. It delivers a 36 W output using a conductive carbon core inside a rubberised polymer shield. The cable is approved for indoor and outdoor use and carries the Raychem brand.
This cable works with H903, H913, H914 and H915 accessories for connection and control. It is non-programmable and operates on a single phase supply. No thermostat is included, so a separate control device is required for temperature regulation.
The carbon-core design replaces older constant-wattage tapes that cannot self-regulate. The jump is worth it when you need a cable that adjusts output along its length to prevent overheating in warmer sections. Buyers who need a built-in thermostat or programmable scheduling should look elsewhere.
