Instant film camera with 20-print bundle

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 is a new instant film camera finished in black and supplied with a twin pack of Instax Mini film yielding 20 exposures. The bundle also includes a shoulder-strap bag, a microfiber cleaning cloth and a 64-pocket photo album. It is aimed at casual photographers who want immediate physical prints for events, travel or everyday snapshots.

Zone focus ranges limit close-up flexibility

The camera uses a zone focusing system with three fixed distance bands: 9.8 feet to infinity for landscapes, 1 to 2 feet for macro and selfies, and 2 to 9.8 feet for general subjects. There is no continuous focus adjustment, so subjects falling between these predefined zones may not be rendered sharply. The built-in flash and automatic exposure help within each zone but cannot overcome the stepped focus design.

Six colour effects and five brightness levels

Six selectable colour effect settings and five adjustable brightness levels are the primary tools for altering image tone directly on the camera. These in-camera adjustments determine the look of each 2 x 3 inch print without post-processing. Buyers who want full manual exposure control or interchangeable lenses will not find those options here.

Questions about this item

Which bundle version should I choose, the one with 20 film packs or the one with the 64-pocket album?

The bundle includes the camera, a shoulder-strap bag, a cleaning cloth, a twin pack of Instax Mini film giving 20 prints, and a 64-pocket 3-inch photo album; all items come together in one package.

What does the 9.8-foot focus marking mean when I am actually shooting?

The zone-focusing system sets 9.8 feet to infinity for landscapes, 2 to 9.8 feet for general scenes, and 1 to 2 feet for macro shots and selfies.

How does the Instax Mini film format limit print size and capacity?

Each Instax Mini cartridge produces 2 x 3 inch prints; the twin pack supplies 20 exposures total, and the included album holds 64 of those prints.
