Duplex document scanner captures 40 pages per minute at 200 dpi with a 50-sheet automatic feeder and 600 dpi optical resolution via USB 2.0
The Fujitsu fi-6130Z is a new A4 duplex document scanner built around a 24-bit CCD sensor with a 600 dpi optical resolution. It captures colour or monochrome pages at 40 ppm simplex and 80 ipm duplex at 200 dpi, dropping to 30 ppm and 60 ipm at 300 dpi. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder handles paper up to 8.5 by 14 inches and connects via a USB 2.0 type-B port. Power draw is 38 W or less, falling below 6.2 W in sleep mode.
Offices that need reliable, double-sided scanning of standard letter and legal pages will benefit from the reversing roller feed and 50-sheet ADF capacity. The USB 2.0 interface and Windows 7-era driver support make it a poor fit for modern macOS, Linux or Windows 10/11 deployments without verified drivers. Buyers who want network or wireless connectivity, higher than 600 dpi optical resolution, or a larger ADF should look elsewhere.
The 600 dpi optical resolution is the single figure that determines whether this scanner meets your image-quality requirement; it cannot be exceeded in hardware. If your workflow demands higher native resolution, this model will not satisfy it.

The scanner measures 11.8 inches deep by 6.4 inches wide, so allow at least that much clear desk area plus room for the output tray to extend and for paper to exit the 8.5" x 14" maximum document path.
Plug the supplied USB 2.0 cable into the B-type connector on the scanner and a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port on the PC, then install the driver package for Windows 7, Vista, XP or Server 2003/2008 before launching the scanning application; the step often missed is installing the driver first.
Replace the pick roller and brake roller when multi-feeds or paper jams become frequent; the reversing roller technology is designed for high-volume feeding, but roller life depends on paper type and daily volume, so inspect them during routine cleaning.
