Converts component video and analogue audio to HDMI up to 1080p at 60Hz for legacy consoles and DVD players
This converter translates analog YPbPr component video and stereo audio into a single HDMI 1.4 signal. It lets owners of original Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DVD players or satellite boxes connect to modern HDTVs, monitors or projectors that lack component inputs. The unit is unidirectional and will not work in reverse.
The adapter accepts 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p at 50 or 60 Hz and 1080i or 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz, then outputs a stable 1080p60 stream compliant with HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4. Because it performs real-time analog-to-digital conversion rather than simple pass-through, the image remains consistent during long gaming sessions or movie playback without the handshake glitches seen on cheaper scalers.
Installation takes seconds: connect the five RCA plugs (three video, two audio) to the source, link the HDMI cable to the display, and power the converter via its USB lead. The most frequent error is confusing YPbPr component with composite RCA — the green, blue and red video sockets look similar but carry different signals, so plugging composite into component yields no picture.

Yes, it accepts 480i/60 Hz and 576i/50 Hz natively and outputs them at 480p or 576p over HDMI 1.4.
