Solid-State Doppler Radar

The Furuno DRS4D-NXT is a solid-state marine radar that uses pulse compression and Doppler technology to deliver open-array performance in a compact 24 inch radome. It is designed for vessel owners who want advanced target detection without the complexity of a traditional magnetron system.

Target Analyzer and Tracking

Target Analyzer automatically colours approaching targets red and receding targets green, giving immediate visual cues for collision avoidance. Fast Target Tracking follows up to one hundred targets simultaneously, while Bird Mode helps locate flocks that mark productive fishing grounds.

Installation and Compatibility

A smart-connector cable simplifies retrofitting to existing Furuno displays and no external power supply unit is required. The radome operates without opening the housing for routine setup. Buyers who need a longer cable run or a different display interface must source those components separately.

Questions about this item

Will the 24" radome connect to my existing Furuno display using the smart-connector cable?

The smart-connector cable is designed for retrofitting existing Furuno installations, so the radome can link to a compatible display without opening the dome.

How do I confirm the Target Analyzer color shifts are active after installation?

Approaching targets will automatically turn red while stationary or receding echoes stay green, giving immediate visual confirmation that the Doppler processing is working.

Does the box include the smart-connector cable and mounting hardware, or must they be purchased separately?

The product is supplied as the radome only with no cable; the smart-connector cable and any mounting brackets need to be sourced separately.
