Designed for small dogs

The FXW MiniPaws Unleashed playpen is built specifically for puppies and small breeds. Eight metal panels form a configurable enclosure that can be arranged to suit different indoor or outdoor spaces. The supplier notes it is not recommended for dogs that jump or for larger breeds.

Suits contained play areas

Owners wanting a lightweight, tool-free barrier for supervised play will find the expandable layout practical. Buyers who need a taller containment for jumpers or a heavier gauge for strong chewers should look at something else because the wire spacing and panel height are fixed.

Stable when anchored outdoors

Each panel measures 23.62 inches high by 22.24 inches wide with wire mesh openings of 4.4 inches by 1.57 inches. Ground stakes 26.57 inches long and .31 inch in diameter can be driven into soil for extra rigidity while rubber protectors shield indoor floors.

Questions about this item

What floor space do I need to clear for the eight 23.62"H x 22.24"W panels?

The eight panels can form an enclosure roughly four by four feet; allow a little extra room for the anchor stakes if you plan to use them outdoors.

Will the 4.4"H x 1.57"W mesh gaps contain a small terrier that squeezes through narrow openings?

The mesh spacing is 4.4 inches high by 1.57 inches wide, which suits most puppies and small breeds but may not stop a determined very small dog from pushing through.

How can I confirm the playpen is stable after I connect the panels with the metal rods?

The frame should feel rigid with no wobble; outdoors the stakes should sit firmly in the ground, and indoors the rubber floor protectors should keep the base from sliding.
