Gaiam 05-63059 Yoga Knee Pads

This 2-pack of Gaiam yoga knee pads delivers soft polyurethane foam cushioning for sensitive joints during floor exercises. Each circular pad measures 7.6 inches in diameter and features a non-slip base that stays in place on various mat surfaces. The lightweight design weighs just one pound for the pair, making them easy to transport. They suit adults seeking extra comfort for knees, wrists, elbows, or hips.

Suited for yoga, pilates, and floor workouts

These pads help practitioners who feel discomfort on hard floors or thin mats during kneeling poses, planks, or wrist-intensive sequences. The unisex purple design works for home or studio use and supports balanced cushioning under both knees or hands. They are not intended for high-impact sports, heavy weightlifting, or activities requiring strapped-on protective gear that secures to the limb.

Cushioning capacity and practical limits

The polyurethane foam comfortably handles sustained pressure from body weight in static poses and slow transitions, reducing strain on joints. The 7.6-inch diameter provides enough surface area for most adult knees or paired hands, but users with larger frames may find the contact area restrictive during wide-arm movements. The foam compresses under load, so very heavy pressure may bottom out the cushioning.

Questions about this item

What surface do I need to place the 7.6 inch pads on so the non-slip base grips properly?

The non-slip base is designed to stay in place on thick, thin, padded, plank, small, large or foam mats, so any standard yoga mat works.

Can I keep using my existing yoga mat with these 7.6 inch purple pads without the pads sliding around?

Yes, the durable non-slip base keeps the pads stable on your current mat during movement, whether it is thick, thin, padded or foam.

How will I know the 7.6 inch pads are positioned correctly once I start my session?

You will feel the soft gel-like cushion cradling your knees, wrists, elbows or hips, and the non-slip base will keep them from shifting as you move.
