Miniature 5mm Omni-Directional Microphone

The Galaxy Audio LV5 is a 5mm diameter lapel microphone designed for inconspicuous placement in clothing. Its omni-directional element captures voice accurately while handling high sound pressure levels with ease. The unit is built for house of worship, theater and broadcast production where a discreet profile is essential. A durable cable withstands everyday use and the connector can be wired for most manufacturers' body packs.

Spoken-Word Applications Needing Low Visibility

This microphone suits presenters, clergy and performers who require a hidden microphone with very low handling noise. The rotatable single clip and included dual clip offer secure, redundant mounting options for active use. It is not intended for users who need a directional pickup pattern to reject off-axis sound or for instrument miking where a larger capsule is preferred. Buyers needing wireless operation without a compatible body pack should look elsewhere.

Simple Clip-On Installation With Wired Connector

Installation consists of attaching the rotatable single clip or the dual clip to clothing and routing the cable to a body pack. The connector arrives ready to be wired for the specific brand of transmitter in use, so a technician may need to solder or crimp the termination. The main issue installers encounter is mismatched wiring pinouts if the body pack schematic is not consulted before terminating the cable.

Questions about this item

What type of body-pack transmitter connector does the LV5 need to work?

The cable can be wired for most manufacturers' body packs, so the connector must match the specific transmitter model you already own.

Will the rotatable single clip and dual clip options still hold the 5 mm capsule securely on heavier costume fabric?

Yes, the dual clip provides redundant fastening and the rotatable single clip adjusts its angle, both designed to grip the miniature 5 mm housing on thick material.

How can I confirm the microphone is capturing voice accurately after clipping it in place?

Listen for clear, natural speech reproduction at high sound-pressure levels without handling noise, which the omni-directional element is built to deliver.
