GPS Dog Tracking Collar

The Garmin Alpha T20 is a GPS dog tracking collar built for hunters and outdoor handlers who need reliable location data across open terrain. It pairs with compatible Garmin handhelds to monitor multiple dogs at once. A top-mounted GPS and Galileo receiver delivers position updates as frequently as every 2.5 seconds. Multicolor LED beacon lights improve visibility in low-light conditions.

Dynamic Battery Management

The collar adjusts its tracking frequency based on the dog's movement to conserve power during sustained use. This dynamic tracking extends operational time for longer hunts or training sessions. Users can select standard or extended battery packs to match the planned duration. Automatic software updates are applied when the unit charges on a Wi-Fi network.

Nine-Mile VHF Range

The single specification that determines suitability is the VHF transmission range of up to 9 miles to a paired handheld. If your working area exceeds this distance or obstacles degrade the signal, the collar will not report positions reliably. Buyers who need coverage beyond 9 miles should consider a different system. The bundle includes four collars and a power bank for field recharging.
