Extends 4K at 30 Hz or 1080p at 120 Hz over a single Cat cable up to 120 m with three USB 2.0 ports and DIP-switch pairing for 16 sets
The GCROWN 4K HDMI USB KVM Extender transmits 4K at 30 Hz and 1080P at 120 Hz over a single Cat5e/6/6a/7 cable up to 120 m (390 ft). It includes a transmitter with one USB host port and a receiver with three USB 2.0 device ports running at 480 Mbps. A 4-pin DIP switch allows up to 16 sets to share the same network. Audio up to 7.1 channels is supported and the system works with Windows, Mac and Linux without drivers.
This extender suits users who want to operate a PC, PlayStation or Xbox from a distance using a keyboard, mouse and gamepad. It also fits interactive displays and USB streaming up to 100 m. Buyers who need 4K at refresh rates above 30 Hz, more than three USB device ports, or the ability to connect one transmitter to multiple receivers should look elsewhere. A gigabit switch is required when the link runs through a network switch.
The deciding specification is the maximum extension distance of 120 m (390 ft) over a single Cat5e/6/6a/7 cable while delivering 1080P at 120 Hz and 4K at 30 Hz. If the installation requires longer runs, fibre-based extenders or active optical cables become necessary. The 16-set DIP switch capacity also determines whether the unit can coexist with other pairs on the same infrastructure.

A single CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a or CAT7 cable up to 120 metres (390 feet) carries 4K@30Hz and 1080P@120Hz with 7.1-channel audio.
Repower both the transmitter and receiver so the new DIP-switch pairing takes effect; one transmitter pairs with only one receiver.
A Gigabit switch is mandatory; a 100 Megabit switch cannot sustain the 800 Mbps bandwidth required for stable operation.
