Dual-monitor KVM for two PCs

This HDMI KVM switch lets you control two computers with one keyboard, one mouse and two shared monitors. It works with Windows, Mac and Linux without extra drivers, so you can move between systems instantly. The wired remote and front-panel button both change the active PC, and an LED shows which one is selected. Hot-key switching is not supported.

8K60 and 4K144 video bandwidth

The single specification that decides fit is the maximum video timing: 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz or 120 Hz. Lower resolutions such as 1080p and 2K are also accepted. Reaching 8K60 requires HDMI 2.1 cables; with lesser cables the link will fall back to a lower mode.

Three USB 3.0 ports at 5 Gbps

Two computers share three USB 3.0 ports running at up to 5 Gbps, ten times the throughput of USB 2.0. That headroom handles a keyboard, mouse and a flash drive or webcam simultaneously. Bandwidth-hungry devices such as high-speed SSDs or capture cards will saturate the link and should connect directly to the host instead.

Questions about this item

What does the 8K@60Hz rating actually deliver on my dual-monitor setup?

The switch passes up to 8K resolution at 60 Hz to each of the two connected displays, provided both computers and cables support that mode.

Which HDMI standard limits the 8K@60Hz throughput, and what lower rates does it handle?

HDMI 2.1 is required for 8K@60Hz; the unit also carries 4K@144Hz, 4K@120Hz, 2K and 1080p signals without issue.

What physical connections and space do I need to install this KVM?

Two HDMI inputs per computer (four total), two HDMI outputs for the monitors, three USB 3.0 ports for shared peripherals, plus the wired remote and front-panel button — all on a desktop-friendly enclosure.
