Questions about this item

This switch handles two computers — what if I only need to share peripherals between one PC and a laptop?

The unit has two upstream ports; you can connect a single computer and leave the second port unused while still sharing the four USB 3.0 devices and one HDMI monitor.

The box says 4K@60Hz — will my 1440p 120Hz gaming monitor run at its full refresh rate?

Yes, the HDMI path supports 2560×1440 at 120Hz, so a 1440p high-refresh monitor will operate at its native rate when switched to the active computer.

The four USB ports are labelled 3.0 — does that mean every device I plug in will actually move data at 5Gbps?

The hub runs at USB 3.0 5Gbps; each attached device negotiates its own speed, so 3.0 drives hit 5Gbps while 2.0 peripherals fall back to 480Mbps.
