GE Silicone Sealant for windows and doors
This clear silicone sealant comes in a 10 oz cartridge for use with a standard caulking gun. It is designed for sealing windows, doors, siding and trim in both interior and exterior applications. The formula meets ASTM C920 Type S Grade NS Class 50 specifications for professional use. It is suitable for builders and homeowners needing a flexible, waterproof joint seal.
Crack resistant formula
The cured sealant remains flexible and resists shrinking, cracking, mildew and mold over time. It withstands continuous exposure to ultraviolet light and weather without degrading. Maximum performance temperature is rated at 400 degrees F for high-heat areas. Full cure is achieved in 1 day under normal conditions.
Sustained elasticity handles joint movement long
With 483 percent elongation, the sealant stretches significantly to accommodate structural movement without losing adhesion. It conforms to TT-S-001543A and TT-S-00230C standards for long-term durability. The nonshrinking property maintains a consistent seal profile after full cure. This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer.

Questions about this item
How do I load the 10 oz cartridge and cut the nozzle for a clean bead?
Insert the cartridge into a standard caulk gun, cut the nozzle tip to the desired bead size, apply to clean dry surfaces, then tool the bead before it skins over.
Will the cured sealant need to be replaced due to shrinking or mildew?
The formula is nonshrinking and resists mildew and mold, so the cured bead maintains its shape and does not require replacement for those reasons.
At what temperature does the sealant reach its maximum performance limit?
The product is rated for a maximum performance temperature of 400 degrees F, beyond which its properties may degrade.
